Frequently Asked Questions
Which image formats are supported?
This tool supports standard web formats including JPG, PNG, WebP, and BMP. When you upload a file, the browser internally draws it to a secure canvas and converts it into a highly compatible JPEG before inserting it into the PDF. This ensures your final document works perfectly on all devices.
How does the "Page Size" setting work?
If you select A4, every page in the PDF will be uniform in size, and your image will be scaled (shrunk) to fit perfectly within the center of the page. If you select Fit (Same as Image), the PDF page will physically shrink or stretch to exactly match the dimensions of your uploaded image.
Will this compress my high-resolution photos?
To prevent massive file sizes and browser crashes, the tool standardizes the images. Extremely large images (e.g., 4000px wide smartphone photos) are proportionally scaled down during the canvas conversion phase, and saved at an 85% JPEG quality. This provides an excellent balance of sharp text/images and small PDF sizes.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
Never. Both the image conversion (via HTML5 Canvas) and the final document generation (via PDF-lib.js) are executed entirely locally in your web browser. Your private images are completely secure.
